What is Directional Drilling?

Directional Drilling is a method used to install conduit (pipe) underground without digging a trench. These conduits may be used for many different purposes including:

  • electrical
  • gas
  • water
  • sewer
  • drainage
  • fiber optic
  • communication

The two main components of Directional Drilling are the drill itself and the electronics. The drill, varying in size depending on your project, is what creates the actual hole in the ground and is what installs the conduit.

The electronics are what provides us critical information.  This includes depth, heading, pitch, and exact location. All this information is in “real time” and gives us the ability to control where we want to go.

These two components, combined with our experienced team, are what allows us to successfully complete your project.
